CommunityofDoctors.com was founded in 2007 by a physician who recognized the absence of physician input into a national health care debate which has been dominated by the very wealthy and powerful corporate lobbying by hospital, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries.  The private practice physician, committed to patient advocacy, and struggling against rising overhead and cost of living, has been both vilified and victimized by an industry which is committed only to sustained profit Politicians and executives have been charged with assessing the quality of health care, while the public expresses increasing bitterness and resentment.  Misinformation propagates suspicion and anger in this environment, while doctors are generally powerless to influence the public perception of their profession.

Your membership in CommunityofDoctors.com begins with completion of a health care survey.  Your privacy is assured, while the collected data are revealed and discussed in forums around the country.  Our founder, Michael Steiner MD, has been interviewed by leading talk show hosts when unbiased reporting of health care is sought.  When you hear radio talk show hosts describe “what doctor’s think” it’s very likely they have been reading material that has been sent to them by our organization.
